Leave it to a guy from Georgia to propose a playoff. His team was out of the title picture when they didn't even win their own conference.
The SEC is divided into SEC East and SEC West.
Get it right.... Georgia did not even win their half of the conference, much less the whole thing.
I was not trying to offend you. It just made me laugh, because I really don't get it when history is brought into discussion/argument these days in college football. It has nothing to do with this thread on a game that was played on 01/07/08.
No offense taken. I do this for fun. My comments only had to do with a response to why SEC teams are not playing Big 10 teams. I would like to see more of the games. I guess I needed to explain in my original post that it is because of the old geezers still holding down the SEC AD jobs that are carrying a 30 year old grudge.
I make comments on anything I feel I can add to the conversation. I mean it's not like I can come on here and talk about my team. I mean what should I do come on and start a thread Ole Miss Sucks. Then we get 4 or 5 people agree that Ole Miss sucks, sounds like a great one.
To all OSU fans who are fed up with me...
Look, I am not saying that OSU NEVER plays good teams. We are talking about this year. All 4 of their OOC games can be top 10 teams next year. I am simply pointing out that you cannot say a team is good when they havent played anyone. Of course a team that made it to the NC last year isnt going to be terrible! Thats rediculas! Is OSU a top 15 team? Yes! A top 10 team? Probably, especially this year. They did some good things monday I could tell they were a lot better than last year.
I'm not a OSU hater nor a Big 10 hater, I just dont see why OSU was so great this year. I know this year had several 2 loss teams in the top 10. But when I see clips of OSU's "great D" on film sacking and tackling these crap teams, I'm like, well what have they shown us? Why is it that the 2nd year in a row they have been killed in the title? I'm not trying to prove my point over and over that the SEC is the greatest. I'm trying to say that OSU cant be given praise when we dont know if they are any count.
I appologized if I've offended anyone.
I know they are divided. I said they weren't conference champs, which is all that matters in my argument. read closely before you get snippy, GreatestStory.
BTW...anyone notice the interview with Troy Smith and Jamarcus Russell? All I'm going to say is that I could actually understand the words from Troy Smith. HAHA
Sorry for the late reply, congrats LSU fans. Jimmy allowed his team to be out coached, out game planned and less disciplined again. Oh well, better than the 4'th place b10 standing than was predicted.

I'm not snippy, I'm totally agreeing with you. I'm strengthening your point!!
I read it extra closely and I loved your point so much I wanted to make it even more valid than ever!!
I'm here to stop the madness and bring the gladness!
There is one small item that I would lke to address to all these great posters from all over the country. I have read from many fans that are ready to move onto next year. I understand that and can appreciate it.
However, please dont get offended as I may just stay in This Year for a while. I find the elixir of championship's rather delightful and intoxicating.
BuckeyeTodd - i will want to dscuss the detaialed merits of the game with you at some point in the near future if you are up to the challege. My personal opinion was that OSU was punch drunk by halftime. Like a fighter that had been bludgeoned to body waiting for the final uppercut. I said to myself, if LSU comes out and rolls em one more time like they did in the 2nd quarter...it's over. Yes, your panicking LB had the phantom block to assist, but that game was O V E R at 31-10. OSU fought bravely and never "quit", but that LSU starting running the clock out in the middle of the 3rd quarter tells me everthing I needed to know. The outcome was never in doubt, only the final score.

I'm a fighter (MMA now, but Tae Kwon Do and Jiu-Jitsu growing up) so I love the analogy. I don't have time tonight but hit me up tomorrow. We'll talk.
