No, you're a wacko for extending the analogy when neither I nor anyone else has suggested that all guns be outlawed.  If they tried, you'd have plenty of time to buy one  In any case, very, very few criminals have more access to weapons than you do now, and  you admit yuorself that you  don't even have a gun. You must not be very scared of the possibility.  I am not worried about an armed invasion of my house.  It is an extremely slight possiblity, much smaller than the odds of having an accident wth a gun in the house.  
I have a friend whose house was burglarized recently. He wasn't home, but his guns (several )were. They were stolen.  that is much more common than home invasion burglaries.  Try toinduce fear in people susceptible to it, I am not.

The admins claimed in a half-dozen threads that there was "a massive bug" this afternoon, that caused people to lose connection and account info to be shared.  Personally, I think CBS tried to implement an inadequately tested upgrade, which caused a cascade of errors.  Why they continue to make major programming changes like this at not off-peak hours is perplexing.
